Divine Mercy Chaplet

The History of The Divine Mercy Chaplet

The Divine Mercy Chaplet was given to a Polish nun, Sister Faustina Kowalska, who lived in the first half of the 20th century. At this time, the world was recovering from WWI and on the verge of WWII. It  was a time of tremendous proliferation of immortally and degradation.

As a sister of Our Lady of Mercy, St. Faustina spent her entire religious life pleading with the Lord for His mercy on behalf of the needy souls. In her Diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul, she keeps a record of the Lord’s conversations with her, (this book is well worth reading and re-reading) He ask her not to hold back divine justice any longer. Of course she could not comply with such a request. She died the very night the first shot was fired in WWII. The Lord in His great mercy gave the world this devotion, for the salvation of souls through the faithful hands of St. Faustina, and later her countryman, Pope John Paul II.

This devotion is extraordinary affective for the conversion of the dying and those who have hardened their hearts against God, up until the last moments of their lives. It is also great recourse for the relief of the suffering victims, caught in the catastrophic disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, bombings and mass shootings.

I world is getting darker and God’s Mercy is our only hope!

How to Pray The Chaplet With Our Mother of Mercy Chaplet

Our Mother of Mercy and Jesus’s Divine Mercy go hand in hand. They are Two Sacred Hearts that have become One. We have incorporated the Mother of Mercy Chaplet in the Divine Mercy to pray pleading for our nation and the whole world. Both Jesus and His Blessed Mother hears us and intercedes with us, when we pray it this way.

Optional Opening Prayers:

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us
.

(Repeat 3 times) O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Hail Mary and the Apostle’s Creed

For each of the five decades (On each “Our Father” bead of the rosary, pray)

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

(On each of the 10 “Hail Mary” beads, pray)
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

*(at the end of each 10 “Hail Mary” beads, we pray)
Merciful Father please grant us, 3X More Time, More Grace, More Mercy. Mother of Mercy Pray for Us. Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus I trust in you to save our President, our Nation, our Enemies and the Entire World.

Concluding prayer (Repeat 3 times)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Optional Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
